Even if you don't sleep with guys right away you don't have to announce it to the world. There'll be plenty of time later to make your feelings on this subject clear. And keep in mind, the number of times you use the word "commitment" in your ad is directly proportional to the number of times you will most likely be deleted. (It's okay to put it in the section where it asks for what type of relationship you want, but leave it at that.)

It's suicide, ladies. Harping on this commitment thing is simply dating suicide. Men know that this is the ultimate goal, but put it in first gear for a while. Take things slow, get to know each other and hold off deciding what to name your first child until at least after the second date. The male psyche is fragile; we have to handle men with care. The time to broach this subject is after you've met a guy you're definitely interested in getting to know better.

Other things that crack me up are sayings like, "Seeking Mr. Right." Isn't that understood? Aren't we all seeking Mr. Right? Besides a masochist, is anyone intentionally seeking Mr. Wrong? "Seeking a real man." Compared to what, a blow up doll? And "Not into playing games." So you're not into playing games? Don't you know that life is a game? (Remember, it's the board game with the little road and cars that you stick blue and pink sticks in to represent your family as you start working your way down the road of Life?)

Anyway, how do you differentiate "games" in life with life itself? Is it like playing hard to get, or not always being available on a Friday night, or saying one thing and doing something else? What? Isn't this just typical human behavior? The definition of "playing games" varies from person to person. So just what exactly is it? If you date someone for two months then he tells you he's not sure he still wants to see you, is he "playing games" with your head? Or has he simply realized, that after spending time with you, that you may not be the right person for him? What about someone who asks you out, then you get stood up? Is this a game? Unfortunately with dating, I sometimes think it's "standard operating procedure." There are definitely no rules here and if you have no rules, you have no game. Did any of this make sense or am I just rambling?

If you're going to play games, try Twister. That's definitely one way of getting closer to each other! Game playing can add a bit of excitement to a relationship, but playing the wrong way, can be hurtful and insulting.

While I have still have your attention ladies, allow me to add a few more comments. I can't count the number of ads I saw where women stated the same things. They mention that they are looking for someone to take care of them, they want to be respected and they want to be treated right. For some reason I didn't see these lines in men's ads. Guys pay very close attention to what you write, so you may want to consider revising a little.

When a guy reads that you are looking for someone to take care of them, they envision you quitting your job so he can support you and your shopping habits till death do you part. I think some women "feel" they have the right to stop working once they get married. I know it is more difficult in today's time where double income families are often a necessity. But it's almost like it's a given that every woman's dream is to get married and then be able to stay at home. AGAIN, not all, so don't you other women jump on me.
